General Tour Information
Please Read
Your
timeliness is of utmost importance!
Autumn is a
very busy time at Emma Krumbee's so being on time for your tour
is essential. Please do your best to arrive on time for your scheduled
tour. Check the driving time. In case of unexpected delays, we appreciate
your cooperatin and flexibility in making the necessary arrangements
upon arrival to reorganize your tour. BEST ADVICE- Be at the orchard
15 minutes early. If your group is late, we will go onto the next
group and try to get your group in at the next possible opening.
Tour
Agenda
Upon arrival, your bus/vehicle will be met by someone. The contact person should please check in at Emma Krumbee's New General Store. Also, at this time we will collect payment before your orchard adventure begins. All tour participants will be directed to the designated area in which they will hear Emma Krumbee's famous apple story. There are various attractions here at Emma Krumbee's. Your group will have the opportunity to board our handicap accessible wagon for a leisurely ride through our ourchard. Also, our great haystack, antique tractors, and tractor trikes are some of the fun-filled activities. Before you leave, stop back into the General Store to pick up take-home bakery treats and goodies. Suggested time needed for tour: 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (Weather conditions may vary agenda.)
Group
Payment
Upon your arrival,
we will collect the money before your orchard adventure begins.
Checks should be payable to: EMMA KRUMBEES.
Visa, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted. A single payment covering the
entire group is preferred. We will no longer bill groups for the
tours. Purchase orders will not be accepted. All groups must pay
in full at the time of arrival. A receipt will be given when the
full payment has been received.
Safety
Tips
Emma Krumbee's
has provided appropriate parking located near the new General Store for
your convenience and safety. This is a working farm. Take caution
and be aware of farm vehicles. Watch your step the ground may be
uneven. ALL guests must be seated while riding on the Red Wagon's.
Keep in mind that our farm animals have teeth and only feed them
with an open hand.
Group
Size
We welcome groups
of all sizes and folks of all ages. We recommend that your group
is broken into sub-groups of no more than 30 including adults and
children. The sub-groups can then rotate from activity to activity.
Adult chaperones are complimentary and will not receive the "treats"
included in package 2.
What
if it snows or rains?
Please inform
us of any cancellations or late arrivals.
Be sure that all participants are dressed according to the weather
and changing conditions. Keep in mind that the weather in Belle
Plaine may differ from the weather occurring in Minneapolis. Emma
Krumbee's cannot guarantee rescheduling availability. Emma Krumbee's
will provide tours in varied weather conditions as long as the conditions
remain safe.

ideas to consider
Here
are some helpful hints on how to get cooperation and big smiles
from the kids.
- Bring your
cameras!
- Each visitor
should have a name tag which identifies his/her group or organization
- Chaperones
and escorts should bring permanent magic markers so that the take-home-treat-bags
can be labeled with each guest's name.
Dining
and Box Lunches
When you visit
Emma Krumbee's leave your lunch box behind! If your group would
like to have lunch at Emma Krumbee's you have a few choices to select
from. For visitors wishing to have a picnic-style lunch, Emma Krumbee's
will gladly make a delicious box lunch for each guest. Picnic tables
in the Orchard are available for groups eating box lunches prepared
by Emma Krumbee's. You'll be fed just fine by the folks at Emma
Krumbee's Restaurant. Groups are welcome to enjoy a full service
meal in the restaurant. Reservations are not taken in the Restaurant
but we would appreciate it if you could inform us of your planned
arrival. Outside food and beverages are not permitted on Emma Krumbee's
property. Emma Krumbee's does not permit guests to bring their own
food or beverage for dining or picnicking on the premises.
